Coaching Services

This is where it gets real. Real conversations with a real person who is outside your forest and cares about you enough to tell you the truth, teach you, cut through the nonsense, and bring out the real unpolished you, (which is a good thing by the way). Improving you, and then your approach to others. This is where happiness comes from. The kind of happy that stays with you even during bad times and not just when planets align or the wind blows the right way. That’s deep-to-the-bone happiness. Yep.

About this coaching session you see…

The couple (or individual) is in the comfort of their own home and is paying to be in the session. They are listening and actively and openly participating. They are willing to truly be seen, meaning that they have to tell the raw truth about who they are and what they are and have been doing rather than trying to impress the coach (who can likely see through all that anyway). They have completed any homework activities that were created and agreed on. They are there with an open mind knowing that doing things the way they have been doing them don’t seem to be satisfactory. They find that the session (usually an hour) goes by quite quickly. They are at ease and feel a sense of trust and genuine caring from the coach. They meet individually when it makes sense. They enjoy the session and have one of many “ah ha” moments and look forward to applying them.

The coach asks a LOT of questions. He is intentionally trying to pull out information but also show that good things and ideas already exist in that person. And he does a lot of good listening to those answers (inherently teaching how to listen) and establishes trust and establishes REAL. The real you is what he wants to see and is what matters and is what is worth caring about. No platitudes, just real and raw (which is beautiful by the way!). He interjects or reminds of the various relationship foundations throughout the session and often does this through analogies that can conveniently be referred to later. He cares enough to rapidly cut through the “clutter” and helps the client see the source of their pain or confusion or denial so they can chose to continue or to change. He leans heavily into the individual and focusing on what their role and control is, rather than what is being done to them in relationships. Although he is a fan and a cheerleader, primarily he is a coach. Not afraid to blow the whistle or have you run the bleachers =)

Not kidding…

Just like the couple in the home page… this seemingly lofty explanation of a coaching session is not a platitude. It is quite realistic. People really enjoy the sessions. If you’ve seen some of the videos on you tube, the vibe is like that except a dialogue and the topic and drilldown is all about YOU. If you haven’t seen some of those, well… go see some. Or schedule a “Survey” if available.
